Is an electric car right for me?
Public charging in Juneau is free, and EV chargers are located all over Juneau. Juneau is also very tiny and cutoff, eliminating the need for higher range vehicles. Plus, since Juneau is powered by hydroelectric, fueling an EV here is truly “green.” Requiring just a bit of extra planning, an EV or hybrid could be the best choice for your Juneau adventure! All of our plug-in cars come with a slow charger to plug in at your overnight accommodations at any outdoor three-prong outlet, and can charge more quickly at public chargers around town.
However, fully electric vehicles are not for everyone–especially if you are unable to plug in at your overnight accommodations. With our plug-in hybrids, you get the best of both worlds without having to worry about the EV down sides.
